This painting was conceived from the geometric and rhythmic logic of the gardens of the Palace of Versailles and created specifically for an exhibition in Versailles. Drawing on the ordered complexity of the historic garden design, the work translates its axial structure, repetitions, and ornamental rigor into a contemporary pictorial language. The project consists of twelve canvases conceived as a single, continuous composition. Each painting functions autonomously while remaining part of an uninterrupted visual sequence. The canvases are fully interchangeable, allowing the work to be reconfigured without breaking the continuity of the drawing, echoing the modular and expansive nature of the gardens themselves. Developed as a site-specific work, the painting responds directly to the spatial, historical, and symbolic context of Versailles. Commissions for site-specific projects of this nature are welcomed, allowing each work to emerge from a close dialogue between place, architecture, and pictorial structure.
