This work began as a child’s doll, transformed into a stone-like figure through layers of paper mâché — a metaphor for emotional hardening formed in response to early wounding. Over this hardened surface, organic growth appears, blooming across areas of fracture and strain. The piece was built deliberately and slowly, reflecting a healing process that does not deny what was broken, but allows growth to rise from it.
