Registered Palimpsest is built like a recovered page—rolled, pressed, and re-pressed until the surface begins to remember. Oxide-rust fields carry the grain of the gel-plate pull, while faint line-work and abrasion marks behave like measurement, notation, or a music staff half-erased by time. A fragment of vintage script slips through as if the painting lifted it from an earlier life, then re-registered it into the present.
Small, saturated pops of blue and yellow puncture the warmth like coded signals—brief, bright, and intentionally unresolved. The result holds printmaking grit and Abstract Expressionist immediacy in the same breath: a charged surface, restrained by margins, where pressure becomes a kind of quiet disclosure.
