This abstract piece presents a complex interplay of shapes and muted tones, punctuated by accents of red and black circles. Layers of soft greys and blues create a textured background that invites closer examination. The composition conveys a sense of depth and subtle movement, making it a compelling addition to any contemporary space. The work consists of two canvases and belongs to the (post-)constructivist series of Martin Swoboda. By repeating, varying, and condensing industrial forms derived from packaging patterns, and by spraying their negative shapes onto the canvas, the work reveals an underlying dynamic, an industrial rhythm, and a structural logic that leaves its imprint on the forms themselves. Removed from their original function as silent and largely unnoticed support elements, these forms acquire a new presence. When transferred to the canvas, they begin to suggest a tendency toward harmony, order, and coherence—as if the forms themselves insist upon a certain arrangement. Without this emerging order, the composition would feel incomplete, unresolved, and unfinished.
