Hooded Portrait Sketch

Description

Hooded Portrait Sketch presents a quiet side-profile portrait framed by the soft folds of a hoodie. Monochrome shading gives definition to the figure’s expression and the fabric’s gathered texture, while the open sketchbook page keeps the composition spare. Its calm, handmade feel makes a thoughtful addition to a desk, studio, or gallery wall.

Artist

Draughtsman in Portland. Figure drawing and ink illustration, mostly people caught mid-gesture. Spent two years copying photos line for line before someone pointed out I was tracing proportion instead of seeing it. Still redraw hands four or five times and still get them wrong.
