Description
White Lift
Acrylic, crayon and charcoal on paper
Emerging from layered greens and exposed passages of paper, white birds rise through the wetland landscape as brief moments of light and movement. Built quickly and intuitively, the work uses softened marks and open areas to suggest atmosphere rather than describe place directly. White Lift reflects the quiet energy of the marsh — the sudden animation of stillness before settling again. Part of the artist wetland series. Cairns, Far north Queensland, Australia. 2026. Unframed on cold pressed 300 GSM cotton paper.
