Mixed media / acrylic study
A small study exploring my interpretation of Yggdrasil, created as preparation for a larger commissioned painting. Soft Nordic light and a subtle Bifröst form the background, while hidden elements from Norse mythology are woven into the tree itself: Gjallarhorn becomes part of the crown, and Jörmungandr lies almost unseen among the ancient roots.
The study explores protection, connection, and the quiet presence of mythology within nature.
Artist
I paint stories inspired by Norse mythology and the wisdom of the runes. Through light, nature, and layered symbolism, my work explores connection, love, courage, and the timeless bond between people, history, and the natural world.
