Description
Hiking through this mango grove to Playa Organo in Huatulco made me think of my kids asking me often when their excitement bubbled up for what is to come- Are we there yet? This is how I felt the first time hiking this path to the beach. There are so many deep greens, charcoal, soft pinks, and cool blue-gray tones in a richly textured composition of forest. This study was done solely in palette knife on paper. Loose petals and organic forms emerge from layered color, suggesting a garden viewed through memory or motion. The contrast between dark passages and delicate pale blooms gives the piece a sense of depth and quiet energy. It would make a distinctive addition to a living room, bedroom, or creative workspace.
3.5x5" matted to fit a standard 12x16 frame.
