I love to watch birds flying in formation. When they migrate south for the winter, the sight of them flying in formation has always fascinated me. Their journey is so incredibly long, yet they keep going, swapping out the leader when one tires. True teamwork and a story of endurance. Medium: multiple layers of textured Venetian plaster and application of acrylic paint to build soft variations in texture and coloration. Silver and variegated metal leaf accents are applied as the finishing touches. Created on stretched canvas, with painted sides.
