This painting is a study for a larger commissioned piece, created from a client’s photograph of Berg Lake with Mt. Robson rising in the distance. Although I worked from their image, I’ve had the privilege of visiting this spot myself, and those memories shaped how I approached the scene—the crisp air, the shifting light, and the quiet presence of the mountains. Adding this study to my Robson Valley portfolio feels especially meaningful, as it blends my own experiences with the vision of someone who loves this landscape as much as I do.
