Descripción
This piece feels like a living form to me, something that exist underwater, like coral or an anemone, but also something that belongs to my world of collected, repurposed materials. I built it slowly, intentionally, layering my coil elements one by one, letting the repetition guide me. Each piece carries its own history, its own color and texture, and together they create this sense of growth and accumulation over time.
The form opens outward as if it is breathing or blooming. I’m drawn to the tension between something structured and something organic, controlled yet slightly unpredictable. The base is dense and textured, almost protective, grounding the piece before it expands into softer, more fluid shapes above.
I want people to be drawn in, to look closer, to get lost in the details, and to have that instinct to touch it, even if they’re not allowed to. For me, it’s about creating something that feels alive, where material, process, and intuition all come together in a way that’s both familiar and a little strange.
