Captured in the Grand Tetons National Park, the Tetons reflect in the Snake River. I got up early in the morning to capture this one, just as the sun was peaking above the distant horizon and hitting the tops, casting an orange glow on the otherwise cloudless day. The Snake River glides peacefully through the grove of trees and the calm crisp air gently stings my cheeks in the morning. - I captured this one using a Sony A7R series camera, noted for its high resolution, via a panoramic stacking method, where I stacked 61 unique images to create this single image. Each individual image was carefully shot in the field, swing around the cameras nodal point to overlap images. I then combined all 61 images into one maser image in photoshop with a uniquely high resolution, carefully aligning the frames to match. This method allows me to capture a very high amount of detail that cannot be captured in any other method, and allowing me to capture wide vistas without distortion from the camera system or lens. In the end, this is what it would look like if you were standing there - no lens trickery, just a full field view of the Grand Tetons. I highly recommend that if you have the room, hang the 8 foot version of this photo on your wall. You can make out individual trees on each mountain, Individual blades of grass in the meadow, and rocks in the water. Your space will be transformed into the calming surroundings of all that mother nature has to offer.
