Art Fairs

first art show

I was notified that I was accepted into my first juried 2-day art show. I don't own a tent or displays. Any suggestions where to look? I need to find a display that I can either add to as time goes on to help me afford the investment.

I got my ABC canopy on Amazon. Love it because it goes higher then the basic pop-up.

you can rent tents. check with the promoter, you may be able to rent a booth display(panels). many shows offer full pro panel booths to rent. is this outside? you can pick up a set of wire display panels pretty reasonable $$. a small table with a cover and some bins or print racks to display prints and cards.
if you invest in a tent you can use the wire displays for your wall art. also look into Flourish mesh panels. they are easy to put up and come in black or white. Flourish panels are the only thing i use for outdoor shows. my propanels i reserve for indoor show events. check Artist Network for used equipment, you might find a deal there too.

The 10x10 popup tents that Sam's sells are excellent value, at just $100something.

I use and ABC canopy with the white sidewalls (from Amazon), then I put up a top and bottom rail purchased from Flourish, and then I zip tie white display grid panels to the top and bottom rail. It eliminates the wonkiness of having the grid panels sit on uneven ground. The white on white minimizes the visual noise of the display grid. I ordered a printed tablecloth from Bannerbuzz.com totally reasonable price.

Thank you for your share. Do you recall what rails your purchased from flourish… did you need “joints”
To connect?

Sure thing. I bought the StaBar system for 3 sides https://www.flourishdisplays.com/other_brands.

Some lessons learned if you go in this direction. The bars and connectors are on the heavy side, it's easier with 2 people but doable by 1 person with a step stool (I'm short). And, the assembly instructions that come with the StaBar are somewhat cryptic, and the connectors go in specific places with specific bars, the first time is a challenge. Set up a dry-run with your canopy before the art show to figure it all out, and before taking it down mark the end of the connectors and the bars with a sharpie with a system that works for you like top 1-1, bottom 2-2, or A-A, etc. It makes future set ups much easier.
