Descripción
This painting captures a simple moment — a lemon resting beside a small silver dish — yet it resists simplicity. The surface is layered, textured, and weathered, as if time itself has left traces of memory on it. I wasn’t interested in still life as representation, but as presence: the weight of light, the echo of color, the quiet tension between reflection and decay. The silver holds no mirror clarity, the lemon no perfection; both exist in a muted dialogue of form and imperfection.
For me, this piece is about observing stillness without polish — the kind that lives between light and shadow, between what we see and what we sense.
Kindly note that the painting is not yet varnished at the time of purchase. I will varnish it before shipping, and the drying process takes a few days.
Before purchasing, I would appreciate it if you could get in touch with me to arrange the details personally.
