Started this piece during a quiet morning walk along the shore in Sidney BC... the iris stood out against the swirling blues of the water and distant trees. The layers built gradually, experimenting with color transitions to express the calm and movement of the scene. Just finished in my studio—looking forward to seeing where this one goes next.
