Emerging from a void of shadow, “Shape Born of Darkness” occupies the liminal space between sculpture and photograph.
The fractured surface, captured in unmanipulated natural light, evokes the silent endurance of ancient monoliths—objects (broken roof tile) shaped as much by time as by human hand.
Here, the artist transforms a fragment of discarded material into a vessel for contemplation, inviting the viewer to consider the origins of form and the persistence of memory. The composition resists easy interpretation, holding the gaze in a state of suspended inquiry.
