Where the Birches Breathe

Description

What if a small painting could quiet a noisy corner of your day? White-barked birches standing upright like piano keys. Thick, tactile impasto leaves that play with the light. A scatter of pink petals at the feet of the grove. Built with a palette knife and a love for texture. Cool blues and fresh greens set a restful mood that lingers. I painted "Where the Birches Breathe” to celebrate a gentle woodland moment. Using lively impasto and palette-knife work, I layered greens to give the canopy movement and presence, while the white birch trunks read as quiet, vertical notes against a soft blue sky. The pink petals at the foreground add a small, joyful contrast—an unexpected detail that invites a second look. I want this piece to convey a calm, collectible energy you can live with every day. This original oil painting was created by hand in my studio. Signed on the front. One of a kind. Ellen Rich, The Art of LN Want this calming energy in your home?
