Figure in Blue

Description

Soft teal and blue tones surround a seated figure, with muted rose and pale peach adding warmth to the composition. A hand at work brings the painting’s layered forms and expressive brushwork into view. Its calm palette and intimate subject make a thoughtful addition to a living room, studio, or reading nook.

Artist

Acrylic painter in Santa Fe. Portraits and figures, often of people I know, built up in thin layers. Came from sign painting which left me with good edges and bad instincts about blending. Still working out how much to leave unresolved in a face.
