Grasses are everywhere. Do you notice them? An artist notices what is overlooked - the small, the insignificant. The artist's mind sees value and beauty in the everyday. By sharing my work, I hope you too might begin to see the ordinary beauty that is to be found everywhere. The artist takes the inspiration of grasses and transforms it into an experience through the movement of her hand, arm, body and breath. The lines and colours are an image of grasses moving in a field, but at the same time, these lines are the artist's experience of movement and energy - of vitality. The delicate strokes in shades of blue, grey and hints of warm tones are the product of a harmonious physical rhythm and they are, almost by chance, reminiscent of swaying grasses in a gentle breeze. Each line does not just seem to dance across the paper, it did dance, just as grasses dance in a field.
