Twins. In the summer, sheep roam free and live on the best that nature has to offer from the shore to the mountains. Often in the spring I come across lambs, newly arrived on the mountain and it always brings me great joy, those searching eyes that measure you exactly. It is fun to see how well the lambs get along and if one gets into trouble the others follow. In this picture I try to capture the freedom and unity of these twins, perhaps because I am a twin myself. The poem “The Lamb” by William Blake also had a great influence on me and it says, among other things: For he calls himself a Lamb: He is meek & he is mild, He became a little child: I a child & thou a lamb, We are called by his name. Little Lamb God bless thee. Little Lamb God bless thee. William Blake
