"Foggy Redwoods and Rhododendron" This watercolor painting was influenced by hikes in the Humboldt and Mendocino forests. Coastal sequoia redwoods tower over pink-flowering rhododendron while the fog snakes through forest ridges. This painting is a studio icon. Such scenes encouraged watercolor artist Kim Reid to relocate to the Lost Coast forests. She feels Humboldt, Mendocino and Del Norte are the most beautiful areas in the Pacific Northwest.
