Collection: The Echo Chamber Availability: Available
Building on the vibrant energy of The Fifth String, the second piece in this collection shifts from the instrument to the primal movement and spirit behind the music. Using a 20 x 20 format, I wanted this work to feel like a concentrated burst of rhythmic power.
In the second addition to The Echo Chamber collection, I wanted to explore the concept of a "galloping rhythm." In The Unbridled Note, I’ve moved the focus from the strings of an instrument to the spirit of a horse, symbolizing the raw, unbridled pace of a fast-moving melody.
I maintained the collection’s signature palette of deep magenta, cream, and striking gold accents. By using fluid acrylics, I created a sense of wind-swept motion in the mane, where the paint breaks into intricate, foam-like cells that seem to dissolve into the background. The gold linework doesn't just define the horse's silhouette; it acts as a visual representation of a musical score, tracing the "notes" of the animal's movement as it surges forward. This piece is about the visceral connection between sound and speed—the feeling of a heartbeat syncing with a powerful, driving tempo.
