from Witches, The Devil and a King Collection. a developing collection that explores James VI, King of Scots influence on the Witch trails starting with his involvement in the North brewick withc trails and hi book demonology which influenced the withc trials in scotland this collection is in black and white with smoke effects to bring out the mystery and drama. some images like this one the smoke is manipulated into shapes relating to the story On the shores of North Berwick, a witch in league with the devil called up a storm and sent spirits in the form of hares to stop the King’s new bride from reaching Scotland… or so the King thought. The paranoia of James VI, King of Scots escalated accusations of witchcraft and led to the North Berwick witch trials.
