Friday afternoon is a time to wet the whistle with a few hard earned beers. The wives know their men wont be home early that day with many of them going to the local pub for a few more beers after and jesting with the farm workers that also gather there to quench their thirst. If you were unlucky you would get caught for drunk driving but most of the time the coppers didnt bother with such a small town.
