Beschreibung
A weary traveler walks along the ridge of a sand dune in Death Valley. The immense scale of the dunes is clearly shown by the person walking along the top of the dune. Though the sand has been here for hundreds of years, these dune seem to move every day, as they are pushed around by the near constant winds. Over time they have built up to immense size, yet they will cover up fresh tracks of anything that dares to walk on them in mere hours. Where this photo was taken was a good 2 hour hike from the nearest car, and due to limitations imposed by the national park system, there is no cell service, there is no radio in the valley. All there is is you, and these giant dunes.

I captured this one using a Sony A7R series camera, noted for its high resolution, in Death Valley National Park. Prints of this are available up to 8' wide - it deserves to be on your wall.
