Staying Human in the Digital Age

Let your Flaws show

I just posted an essay in a group called "Creative Process" about how we worked with models and how my late husband was always interested in capturing psychological depth and an inner life. This reminded me of how completely absent this depth seems to be in the AI-generated images I've seen.

It strikes me that one of the key ways to "stay human" in this age is to embrace complexities, ambiguities, and flaws. A "too perfect" painting, much like a "too perfect" face, feels less human. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how you allow for interesting imperfections to appear in your work.
