While travelling in Northern Scotland many years ago I came upon a beach that stole a piece of my heart. There was something enchanting about this place. The wind was strong, the air - crisp. The North Sea roared and foamed towards the shore to meet me. As I stepped onto the sand I was overwhelmed with emotion. I strolled the beach in the twilight inhaling the sweet sea air and exhaling everything in my heart. My time on this shore was brief. No more than an hour, but an undeniable bond had grown between myself and this place. My heart ached to leave and I still yearn to return. This beach changed my definition of travel which for me, now means, “Leaving little pieces of my heart all over the world with the hope that I will one day be reunited.”
