"How Can I Keep from Singing" - Metallic acrylic on canvas, 24” x 12”
In this work, How Can I Keep from Singing by Enya is translated into a visual language of color and duration. Each note becomes a chromatic form, scaled in length to mirror the timing of the music, creating a horizontal rhythm across the canvas.
Neurographic lines are layered throughout as spontaneous, embodied responses to the song’s rising and sustained passages. These flowing lines intersect and unify the structured note fields, expressing resilience and uplift through movement. The metallic acrylic surface reflects light dynamically, reinforcing the work’s sense of radiance and continuity.
