Silent Watcher.

Post image 1
At the weekend I photographed this common frog at my local pond. A week or so earlier I’d noticed a lot of frogspawn here, so I went back to see if any of the adults were around. The pond was full of quiet activity, frogs swimming, surfacing, then disappearing again amongst the submerged foliage. I loved this moment of stillness, with the frog pausing at the surface, half-hidden in the dark water and plants around it. It felt like I’d been allowed a brief glimpse into their world before it slipped back beneath the surface.
