That layering approach, showing fragility through the mixed media texture then re-photographing it, that's doing something the straight shot wouldn't. I've tried similar moves with my lakefront work, building the mood in stages instead of pretending one exposure carries it all. The decline piece hits harder when you can see the process underneath.

I keep thinking about that word, fragility. You nailed something I've tried to get at with my own landscape work, that feeling of something rare slipping away even as you're looking at it. The ghost layer over the original piece does exactly what you wanted it to, at least for me. Made me stop scrolling.
