The translucency you've kept in those layers is what holds it together. So many watercolorists push too hard and lose that light coming through the paper, but you let the medium do what it does best. That restraint takes practice.

I keep coming back to how the light hits that skin tone, the variation you got in there. Watercolor doesn't forgive hesitation and this feels confident, like you knew exactly how wet the paper needed to be for those transitions. The title fits too, the way a face can shift meaning depending on where the light lands or what moment you caught.
