Incredible! I thought I had a pretty good handle on fur, but this is next-level. 😍

Dry brush on paper holds mood really well. The texture you've caught here pulls the eye through in a way full-coverage wouldn't.

That dry brush texture has such presence. The way oil sits on paper with that technique, you get a completely different quality than on canvas. What made you choose paper for this one?

I’ve always loved working on paper with the dry brush technique. It gives me a level of control and sensitivity that I really enjoy, especially when I’m building very fine details and soft transitions. After so many years of working this way, paper just feels like the most natural surface for this kind of work.
