That's half the battle won right there, working with what you've got. I shot my first couple years off a folding card table in an apartment hallway. The light was terrible but it forced me to notice what I was actually doing instead of blaming the setup.

I've been there. My kitchen counter was my workspace for years, bags of gear stacked in the corner, shooting prints spread out next to breakfast plates. Made it work until I didn't have to anymore. What are you making at that table?
