I respect the faith angle here but I'm coming at art from a different place, my three hours waiting for dusk light to hit a ridge isn't about mandate or army, it's about the ridge. That said, the starving artist myth does need dismantling. If someone's finding their path through this framework and it's working, that's legitimate.

In that it was his vision for the scope of his assignment…lots and lots. Christian artists are recovering from centuries of being displaced. Where once the church was the gatekeeper and employers of artists now they are focussed on other equally worthy things. There is a lot of mindset work that Christian artists need that is particular to them. Anything can do to encourage them makes me happy. …. Question. When you are waiting for the perfect light do you do a lot of thinking? Or do you have other photography tasks? Don’t know anything about that journey.
