That stone detail, the way the light catches those carved faces. I spent an afternoon in front of Philadelphia City Hall once trying to get the scale right in frame and it's impossible, you always lose something. You held it here.

Yes with painting probably we can change and or add something but photography I think you need a good location thank you.

I've sketched that spot from three different cafés now, and the light keeps changing on me. What time of day did you catch this? There's something about the way old civic buildings hold their weight in a composition.
This is from north board st view you can see trees to the right.
Here, I emphasized the spring colors to make looks like that to add liveliness.
