Hi everyone, I’m glad to be here! I paint expressive scenes inspired by the natural world, especially lively seas, colorful flowers, and curious wildlife.

Glad you're here. The "curious wildlife" line caught me, there's something about letting an animal be a character in a frame instead of just a specimen, if that makes sense. I'm always curious what artists mean when they say expressive versus, say, loose or gestural. What does that word carry for you when you're working?
Hey! The natural-world-as-the-subject instinct is honestly such a good anchor for a body of work, lively seas and curious wildlife as recurring ground gives you room to chase something bigger across pieces instead of just one-off moments. What pulled you toward expressive brushwork specifically, versus flatter or smoother handling? 🎨
Hey Jill, welcome in!
Expressive natural subjects like seas and wildlife demand energy without chaos. The fact that you're drawn to those particular subjects tells me you know the difference.
