Hi everyone, I’m new here. I paint familiar streets, beachfronts, and little everyday scenes, often with a man and his dog. I love finding a bit of wonder and quiet humor in ordinary places, and I’m looking forward to meeting other artists.

Hey Chris, welcome in!

Everyday scenes with a man and his dog, that's the kind of repeated subject that either becomes rote or deepens over time. Sounds like you're after the latter.

Welcome to ArtHelper, Chris! I also love capturing everyday scenes, especially coastal landscapes and the little details that often go unnoticed. I believe ordinary places can tell extraordinary stories. Looking forward to seeing your work!

The man and his dog thread running through everything is such a smart anchor. It's the kind of detail that gives a whole body of work a lived-in feeling without being about you. I'm curious what kind of light you're chasing in those beachfront pieces, whether it's early morning or that late-afternoon warmth that makes everything feel golden and kind.

Hi Chris! 👋 Beachfronts and familiar streets with a man and his dog is such a good recurring anchor for a body of work. The warmth-and-quiet-humour thing is the hard balance, honestly, wonder in ordinary places without tipping into twee. What pulled you toward those everyday scenes as the subject?
