Hi everyone, I’m happy to be here. I create intimate pencil portraits of people and animals, using soft graphite and delicate lines to capture warmth and personality. I’m looking forward to meeting fellow artists, sharing inspiration, and learning from this community. I honestly just picked up my pencil again last month after 23 years. So if anyone has anything to say please be kind. I am just trying to see if I can start doing this again. I just wanted to come on here and see what this was all about and maybe get some advice.

I stopped shooting for a stretch once. The first frames back felt like relearning how to breathe. What you're doing takes real courage, and the fact that you're here asking means you're already moving forward. Looking forward to seeing your work when you're ready to share it.

Twenty-three years away and you're walking back in, that takes real courage. The fact that you're thinking about warmth and personality in your portraits tells me the practice never really left you.

Hey hey! 🎨 Twenty-three years is a long time to be away from the pencil, and you just picked it back up last month, that's the hardest part already done. The 'soft graphite and delicate lines' instinct is exactly what portraits need. What pulled you back to it after all that time?
