The World Cup energy is buzzing through the city, Juneteenth celebrations are in full swing, and there is SO much art to see, do, and be part of right now. 🖼 On the walls right now
Jack Pierson: The Miami Years at The Bass, This one traces Jack Pierson's deep connection to Miami across decades of work. On view through August 16, 2026. If you haven't been yet, the whole summer exhibition lineup at The Bass is worth the trip.
Cecilia Vicuña: Quipu Gut at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), Vicuña's textile and installation work has been drawing visitors since 2024 and remains on view through August 9, 2026. A quiet, powerful experience.
Faire Foyer: Sarah Crowner in Dialogue with Etel Adnan at The Bass, Reflective bronze sculptures, movement, and organic form. On view through July 26, 2026. The Bass is also running papermaking workshops tied to this show.
Ian Patrick O'Connor: "No Wind" at KDR, Miami photographer Ian Patrick O'Connor places vivid colored backdrops into various landscapes and shoots the same composition each time, letting the contrast tell the story. His debut show for KDR runs through July 4.
Group Show: Artists from Maine at Andrew Reed Gallery, Ten artists from Maine, including Katherine Bradford, Sascha Braunig, and Kathy Butterly, at 800 NW 22nd St. On view through July 11.
🎉 Fresh openings to circle
Elliot & Erick Jiménez: El Monte at PAMM, Opening Thursday, June 25. This is the first solo museum exhibition for the artist duo Elliot and Erick Jiménez. Mark it down, that opening night energy at PAMM is always worth showing up for.
PAMM Game Time, Session 2, On Friday, June 26, PAMM hosts the second installment of its Game Time conference series, featuring Olympic gold medalist Tommie Smith. The series ties into the museum's World Cup programming and explores the intersection of sports, art, and culture.
NSU Art Museum: "Close to Home" and Frantz Zéphirin solo show, Just up the road in Fort Lauderdale, two worthwhile shows. "Close to Home" gathers a strong roster of South Florida artists. The Zéphirin exhibition is the Haitian artist's first solo museum show, featuring paintings rooted in vodou spirituality. Both run through October 4.

Move Your Body: Memory, Juneteenth at The Bass, Tonight, June 18, from 6 to 9 PM! The Bass kicks off a three part Masisi Radio summer residency with a live Juneteenth celebration as part of Third Thursdays. Expect DJs, dance, film, and performance inside the assume vivid astro focus installation. Rooted in the legacy of Black, queer, and trans communities that shaped disco, house, and global club culture. This is a can't miss.
Reefline: "Big Goals" on Miami Beach, The underwater art organization Reefline brought a pair of giant soccer goalposts and a tiny playing field to the beachfront at 12th Street for the World Cup. Interactive programming runs through June 28. Get out there and bring your camera.
Viernes Culturales in Little Havana, The last Friday of June (the 26th) brings another edition of this beloved free arts and culture street festival on Calle Ocho. Live music, local artists and artisans, gallery openings along SW 8th Street, and a free Little Havana walking tour with historian Dr. Paul George at 7 PM. A South Florida tradition since 2000.
Lincoln Road Art Walk, Every third Thursday of the month, Lincoln Road galleries extend their hours and activate their spaces with new exhibitions and artist meet and greets. Tonight (June 18) is the night! Free and open to the public.
💛 Feel good corner
Overtown's stories land at Miami International Airport, Through a partnership with Miami MoCAAD (Museum of Contemporary Art of the African Diaspora), MIA's Connecting Communities Wall near Door 11 on Concourse E now features "Telling Overtown Stories, Saying Their Names," three large scale interactive murals reflecting 130 years of Black history in the Overtown neighborhood. On view through October 13, 2026. Every traveler passing through gets a piece of Miami's soul.
PAMM announces 21 recipients of its first ever open call for digital art, Out of more than 750 submissions from 50 countries, 21 artists were selected for PAMM's inaugural digital art commissions. The cohort includes 43% women artists, 24% Haitian or Haitian diaspora artists, and 14% based right here in South Florida. The works span video games, VR, net art, CGI film, and immersive installations. This is the kind of institutional support that actually reaches working artists, and it's happening here in Miami.
