Today's Creator Clash brings us two iconic self-portraits from the early 20th century! But which gets your vote?

I am a big Schiele fan; and while I like the sensitivity and dynamic angle and composition of his self portrait, I think I prefer the Frida Kahlo self portrait because the symbolic elements lend more clues to how she perceives herself.
Frida Kayla. I like the revolutionary politics in that era and the relationship between her and Diego Rivera. A fascinating and stimulating time not to mention the tragedy of how she was hurt in her bus accident.

I admire her perseverance to survive a very tough life.
My vote is B - Surrounded by butterflies, monkeys, and lush tropical life, Frida Kahlo wears both beauty and hardship with equal grace.
I prefer B-I like the connection to the self portrait and the Nature and the Nature colors and the seperation and the continuety that encompasses the portrait.
A looks more intriguing, B. seems more reflexive: I like them both but if I really have to choose I choose A - I love artists who draw with such a cutting, raw and personal style
I choose A. A was painted just before World War I. Is it merely a coincidence that B emerged on the brink of World War II? Looking at the evolution of art, one cannot help but wonder what form a comparable work might take on the brink of World War III.

I find B more interesting because both in herself and in the background she is telling us her strengths and weaknesses

Frida Kayla for me, the film of her life story, brilliant, her paintings represented so much inner turmoil.
B. I´m a realist artist. Although I can appreciate the techniques of abstract or surealist art, I don´t particularly like it. Freda Khalo is a unique sould!
Frida. Have always loved this portrait. Colour, depth, atmosphere, composition, animals, etc etc Fabulous
I find both interesting, but I choose B. It seems like the Frida Khalid one gives more clues to how she sees herself and situation
B. Frida Kahlo. I prefer her more realistic style. And while the thorn necklace probably represents the considerable pain she lived with, the other elements show that she had a deep appreciation for what surrounded her in spite of it. Schiele's style is harsh and this particular self-portrait makes him seem arrogant. The two portraits tell me I would likely prefer Kahlo's company.
B I like the facial expression better. Frida looks contemplative. Schiele looks suspicious.

Schiele"s is beautiful and for me evokes more emotion. Kahlo"s I love for all it's symbols and "graphicness". I think they both describe each artist perfectly! apples vs. oranges.
A, because Schiele presented depth of being, while Kahlo was self-absorbed and obviously of limited talent...
A the turn of the head and the skewing ofthe face adds a lot more vulnerability to A
