Here is one of my more recent shots. the Table and hat,book and the phones are all stone. The perspective is intentional as if you were sitting at the table.

The perspective choice is doing a lot here. I spent years shooting flowers straight down before I realized getting low changed everything about how the viewer enters the frame. Stone as subject matter is patient work.

I love the trompe-l'oeil moment here. The choice to shoot from seated perspective makes it feel like you're about to reach for that book, and then your brain catches up and realizes it's all carved. I tried something similar years ago with driftwood arrangements on the coast, trying to make temporary sculptures feel permanent in the frame, but I never committed to the material the way you have with stone. The texture on the phone especially sells it.
This was in New Market Ontario Canada. It was a monument of sorts which is what caught my interest. as there is an outdoor Library right there.
