It was a blustery rain-soaked day when I shot this through a window. I used a Nikon FM2 camera with 35mm Tri-X film, 200mm lens.

Celestial Echoes – In this striking monochrome artwork, a solitary angel stands poised within the interior of Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, its form illuminated against the intricate stonework. The dramatic interplay of light and shadow creates a captivating atmosphere, where the angel's presence is both ethereal and commanding. The elongated shadow stretches across the textured walls, evoking a sense of spirituality and depth. This piece invites contemplation and reflection, making it a compelling addition to any space that seeks to inspire a sense of wonder and reverence.

I recently captured this image at Niagara Falls. I grew up in Buffalo, NY so the Falls were my backyard. This scene is especially meaningful as it is a source of mindfulness and meditative spirit as represented by the gull hovering above the Falls. I would often come to the Falls when I felt alone or in the need for some introspection. It was a place where one could be alone or if one wished the world would literally pass by ion the form of tourists from every part of the globe. I hope you, the viewer, can look upon the Falls, as I have, with some introspection.

On an eerily foggy morning, I came across this empty playground veiled in thick mist. There wasn’t a sound—not even a breeze—only the damp hush of fog settling around me. As the fog began to lift, I turned back toward the canal and noticed a hauntingly beautiful scene unfolding. A billow of fog was rolling past this single bare tree by a set of swings. I had only seconds to capture the composition before it faded—just enough time to line up the elements and preserve the quiet melancholy of that fleeting moment.

"Sand and Ring". I was delighted to happen upon a Joshua tree acting like a catcher's mitt for the sun, with a halo!

The title was inspired by America's "Horse With No Name", and the lyric,

"After nine days, I let the horse run free
'Cause the desert had turned to sea
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings."

In "Navigating Nature: Netting Movement and Light," patterns of light and shadow reveal a young man, navigating between rock and water with a seine net. The black-and-white posterization enhances contrast, drawing attention to the mirrored angles and his athleticism. Ripples reflect a a back and forth with nature and movement. This posterized black and white image encourages a plunge into outdoor adventure.

Hi all, here is my submission. This photo is one photo. Photographed at the National Zoo in Washington DC USA. It was photographed on film. The Baby is seated and Mom is standing, only normal retouching has been done. NO AI.

"Inheritance" explores the weight of environmental consequence through the eyes of those who will carry it longest. The cracked earth radiates outward like a wound, and at its center stands a child — looking up to the elder perspective. Rendered in stark black and white, the image means to provoke questions about what world are we handing down...
