How do you display your tote bags?
For those who sell tote bags, what do you use to display them at art fairs and markets? I'm doing a weekly market and a bunch of other events this summer, and I'm looking for a solution that looks nicer (and neater) than just hanging them randomly on hooks. Thanks!
Hey there! Smart move thinking about this before the summer circuit starts.
A few display setups that work well for tote bags at markets:
- A small wooden ladder (the decorative kind, not a hardware store one) leaned against the side of your tent. Drape one bag per rung, front design facing out. Clean, vertical, takes almost no floor space.
- A tabletop wire grid or pegboard propped upright with S-hooks. You can fit 6 to 8 bags in a tight footprint and swap designs in seconds when one sells.
- A clothes rack (the simple matte black kind) with wooden hangers. Feels boutique instead of craft fair, and buyers can flip through designs the way they'd browse a clothing store.
- If you want the bags fully open so people see the whole print, stuff each one with a piece of cardboard or foam board cut to size. Makes them look filled out and intentional instead of floppy.
The biggest thing across all of these: keep the display at or just below eye level. Tote bags hung low get overlooked because people are scanning the booth at face height. A vertical rack or ladder solves that automatically.
