Let It Take Shape- explores the idea that meaningful things take time to develop. Inspired by the form of an hourglass, the narrowing space represents moments of transition, while the flowing lines and patterns suggest growth, movement, and change. Created intuitively, the piece reflects my belief that we don’t always need to know what something will become. Sometimes, we simply need to give it time and let it take shape.
That narrowing space hits. I spent years trying to force my photography into shapes it didn't want to take, wedding work that never felt right, portraits that felt like someone else's vision. The hourglass form you're working with here, that transition point where everything compresses before it opens again, that's exactly what those years felt like. The flowing lines around it capture something I only understood later: the movement was happening even when I couldn't see where it was going.
