Gotham City" Series | A Haunting Return to Granville Island
*June 5, 2020 – my first time back to Granville Island after returning from Cairo and completing a 14-day quarantine.*
The usually bustling, colorful island was unrecognizably quiet—tourists gone, street performers silent. Under the looming storm clouds, the scene felt surreal, almost as if the city had been frozen in time.
This long-exposure shot was taken as a storm swept across Vancouver, casting shadows and a moody, Gotham-esque atmosphere over the deserted streets. The rain-soaked pavements, dark skies, and empty spaces create a haunting sense of calm before the chaos.
