Description
I took this photograph during a spring workshop in the Great Smoky Mountains, when the hills were still soft with morning mist and the world felt just a little more gentle than usual. There’s something about that place in spring — the layers of green, the rolling ridges, the way the light slips through the haze without ever asking for attention — that stays with me long after I’ve left. What I love most about this scene is its quiet honesty. Nothing is rushing here. The mountains simply rise and fall in their own time, wrapped in that dreamy spring atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and breathe a little deeper. That morning reminded me why I keep going back to the mountains with my camera: to find those fleeting moments where light and landscape seem to speak the same language. “Smoky Sunshine” is my way of bringing home that feeling — calm, unhurried, and full of life in a very subtle way. I hope it brings a little of that same peace into your space.
