Forbing Library

Description

The local branch of the Shreve Memorial Library was housed in a one-room settler's log cabin on Flournoy-Lucas Road. I can still recall the tantalizing aroma of the old-growth pines surrounding it! The librarian, Miss Helen, knew all the locals' taste in books and would have a stack ready for us when we stopped by!

Artist

I create mixed media art that weaves bold shapes and textured patterns to spark thought and connection. Rooted in Shreveport, my canvas is my voice, blending movement and form to engage community and inspire resistance. Y'all come see how my work stands apart.
