MEDUSA – THE REFLECTION OF SILENCE
Inspired by Benvenuto Cellini’s bronze masterpiece, this original work is a ritual of Manual Resistance. I carve light into chaos, one stroke at a time, using pure ink on high-quality paper—without pencil sketches or the possibility of erasing. Every line is a vow; a definitive trace of 100 hours of absolute focus.
I chose the myth of Medusa to explore the duality of the human gaze. From a distance (Macro), you witness the monumental icon emerging from the shadows. Move closer (Micro), and the subject shatters into a swarming labyrinth of hidden worlds, archaic symbols, and organic flows. It is the Nectar of human presence, extracted from the silence of my studio in the Sila mountains.
I hope the viewer feels the sacred tension between the white void and the obsession of the mark. In an age of digital echoes and AI, this is a secular prayer to slowness—the irreversible truth of the ink. A fragment of my life traded for your vision.
